the way – the road less travelled
following Jesus in this complex 21st century world
Many believers struggle with aspects of their faith they feel no longer seems right.
Some have significant doubts about God.
Some wonder if science or modern culture have made christian belief irrelevant or unbelievable.
Others have doubts about the Bible.
Some want to reconstruct their faith around reasonable beliefs they can hold with confidence and integrity.
The world is changing faster all the time, and we need to keep adapting. But how can belief adapt? What is not negotiable and what is flexible?
Join me in exploring the Way – the road less travelled.
What you can find here
If you are questioning what you have been taught as a christian, wondering whether you should keep on believing, or reconstructing your faith, there are sections here that approach these questions from a sympathetic and evidence-based viewpoint.
If your questions concern how we should rightly understand Jesus or how we should understand the Bible, I have investigated what the experts say and answer a lot of questions from the evidence rather than from dogma. It is fair to say that in both cases, we may need to strip away some misconceptions and unjustified ideas.
And then there are sections on the mission Jesus left his followers and the church that is supposed to carry out that mission, but seems so often (like all of us) to miss the mark. Hopefully these pages will encourage you and challenge you.
If you are a christian wanting to deepen your faith and understanding, and try to better follow Jesus in this postmodern world, I think you’ll find something here that will assist you.
